Out in March, 2010!
My book, Let’s Build for the Glory: Building a Church That the Glory of God Will Inhabit is now available.
This book opens with a Prologue of historical fiction: I take you back to the dedication of the Tabernacle of Moses, the Temple of Solomon, and the birth of the Church in the upper room in Jerusalem on Pentecost. In all three cases, God’s glory showed up in a stunning and real way. And in all three cases, the builders (Moses, Solomon and Jesus) built “according to the pattern” they were shown.
I then ask the question: “Why is the church in America today so anemic? Why don’t we see the miracles and events in her like we see in the church in the book of Acts?” Then I pose my thesis: we don’t see these manifestations of God today because the American church has ignored God’s pattern.
In this powerful manual, you will learn:
I wrote the book in much the same way I speak when I teach—in a conversational tone, as if you and I were seated in a Starbuck’s enjoying a coffee and talking about the awesome truths of God.
With a Foreword by Dr. Iverna Tompkins, Executive Pastor of my church, Church for the Nations (Phoenix, Arizona), the book develops the thesis using a metaphor: the blueprints and specifications that an architect creates when he has been hired to create a new building for a client. The chapter titles are:
The book ends with an Epilogue that literally spans all of time and space and sets God’s stunning plan in the context of our very existence.
Let’s Build for the Glory is a must-have for any leader or Christian who desires to see God show up in their ministry and learn how He can help them achieve their best in all they do. It has shown thousands how to build for the glory and it can lead to an indwelling of His glory in your church too.
This work measures 6” x 8.5”, contains 450 pages, and has 318 footnotes, and hundreds of references to the Scriptures.
